The Valley of the Hush is Calling

Rest, Retreats, & Spiritual Direction

Welcome to

qámlexʷ

In the Native American Salish language, qámlexw means: calm, peaceful land.

“And Jesus said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be Still!’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”  Mark 4:39

RHYTHMS

Faith in Christianity largely has become believing in things to be true or false, and learning how to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil instead of from the tree of life. The object of our religious faith has become more about ideas and doctrine instead of a Person. Our concentration has largely been on only what to believe instead of how to believe. Our hope is to help provide concrete practices (rhythms) so that you can know how to access faith, hope and love.

Hurry always empties a soul
